We all know vitamin C helps boost immunity with the added bonus of providing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, but new research from The Journal of Nutrition gives us another reason to add the vitamin to our diets.

People with the highest amount of vitamin C had the greatest estimated muscle mass, a key to good health as we age; Loss of muscle mass is one of the primary reasons for falls.

The article below highlights that research and notes that among those 50 and older, nearly 6 out of 10 men and 5 out of 10 women have low or insufficient levels of Vitamin C.
