JKTG FOUNDATION FUNDS LIVER METASTASIS IN BREAST CANCER STUDY

The JKTG Foundation announced funding for a two-year study led by Daniele Gilkes, PhD, at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine to answer the question: Why do cancer cells selectively colonize in the liver?


This work addresses a major gap in cancer metastasis biology by combining computational, molecular, and functional tools to uncover fundamental mechanisms of metastasis and offer a roadmap for organ-targeted cancer therapy.
